Corporate Translations partners with Susan G. Komen for the Foundation
(East Hartford, CT ) October 18, 2010
Corporate Translations, a leading provider of translation and linguistic validation solutions to the life science industry is partnering with Komen Connecticut, an affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help increase breast cancer awareness.
According to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. About 207,090 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2010 and approximately 39,840 will die from the disease. Corporate Translations wants to join in the fight against these alarming statistics.
In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Corporate Translations is designating Wednesday, October 20, 2010 as this year’s Corporate Translations Breast Cancer Awareness Day! All employees will be encouraged to wear something pink to honor the occasion. A volunteer from Komen Connecticut will be visiting to provide employees additional information about their Foundation. Corporate Translations will be selling Susan G. Komen for the Cure “pink ribbons” as part of the fundraising efforts (minimum donation $1.00) for the month of October.
In addition, Corporate Translations has created an internal webpage in hopes of raising additional awareness and generating funds for breast cancer research and to provide CT residents with free breast cancer screening services.
